Focus Financial Partners wanted to construct a new office space they could customize to meet their needs and furnish to promote their multi-faceted culture. They needed it to be flexible and easily adaptive to the future growth of the company. “It was important that it fully supported and accommodated our increasingly expanding company with more than adequate office space, while also providing a high-tech workspace that encouraged interaction and stimulated creativity,” said Queen Kamani, Executive Assistant to Ruediger Adolf, the Founder and CEO of Focus Financial Partners.
Focus Financial Partners worked with the architectural firm Ted Moudis Associates to design the new space. Once the overall layout was finalized, Henricksen was brought into the process for the furniture planning and selection. Several common areas, hoteling spaces, and individual private offices needed to be furnished. Focus wanted to re-use several existing furnishings in the new design, including some workstations and conference tables.
Henricksen met with Ted Moudis Associates and Focus Financial Partners to review the architectural plans before presenting several furniture layouts and product selections. They also invited Focus to see some of the proposed furniture options at local showrooms and offices of other clients. Reflecting on the proceess Kamani shares, “Henricksen worked closely with our architects, contractors and project managers throughout the process, attending weekly meetings and participating on various conference calls. Once we finalized our furniture selections, Henricksen ordered, tracked and ensured the arrival and installation of all furniture to the specification of the architectural plan.” Henricksen also facilitated the re-use of an old conference table by stripping and refinishing it to match the new designs. This enabled Focus Financial Partners to retain a beautiful piece of furniture and make it fit the look and feel of their new space.
Henricksen was able to blend existing and new furniture to furnish an open, airy office space that met the client’s vision. In addition to workstations and private offices, their new office now has huddle rooms, a game room, and a beautiful café kitchen. “In unification with the open indoor outdoor and hoteling floor plan concept design, comprising of wall plant greenery, glass partitions and doors throughout the space…,” said Kamani; “The selected furniture was perfectly in line with the overall floor design with its array of textures and colors, dimensions and style.”
The furniture in the new space encourages collaboration with open workstations, seating and lounge areas, café-style booths, and conference room tables that can easily be connected and disconnected, rearranged and stored away. The fabrics and finishes blend into the office design by pulling out the blues, greens and golds of the company’s logo.
